Formed, not painted. This piece is built layer by layer, inspired by the way natural surfaces erode, fracture, and reveal what lies beneath. The deep black texture absorbs light, creating a sense of depth and silence, while fragmented gold emerges along the edges — like mineral veins exposed under pressure. Every surface is intentionally imperfect. Nothing is symmetrical. Nothing is repeated. The structure mimics natural geological movement, where time shapes matter into something raw and powerful. Construction
Material Selection
Our process begins with the raw elements. We hand-select volcanic stone fragments, optical-grade mirrors, and bespoke metallic pigments. Only the materials with the most compelling natural character make it into the studio.
Fragment Shaping
Each fragment is manually shattered and shaped. We don't use machinery; we use intentional force to create edges that capture light and create the sculptural tension MOSFRAME is known for.
Layer Construction
The fragments are meticulously positioned in layers. We embed them in multiple pours of high-clarity epoxy resin over several days, creating a deep, architectural 3D landscape.
Surface Finishing
Once cured, each surface undergoes a multi-stage finishing process. We balance matte frames with the high-gloss shine of the resin and the sharp edges of the fragments to create textural contrast.
Light Testing
A MOSFRAME piece is incomplete until it meets light. We test each work under varying light conditions to ensure the textures shift and the depth evolves as the sun moves through a room.
Final Certification
Every piece is inspected for technical perfection, hand-signed, and assigned a unique edition number. It is then paired with a Certificate of Authenticity and crated for worldwide journey.
